Spirit Twister Bingo is a brand new 75 ball bingo game on the Virtue Fusion platform. The game which features prizes for all five lines can be played on the likes of Mecca and Buzz brings together a number of interesting features including even stevens tickets and limited player numbers per room. In addition - and this is where the game gets it's name - there's a spirit animal multiplier which can increase the full house by up to x5!

The Spirit Twister Room is a standard Virtue Fusion/Playtech affair. The game cards dominate the lower area whilst the top part contains the number calls and information about the game. To the right of the bingo area is a chat room plus you can play mini games such as slots and scratchcards. When you login to Spirit Twister you're automatically assigned an available room as numbers are limited to 25 per player. You can't select a room and we don't think you can find out how many rooms are currently in play.
How To Play Spirit Twister Bingo
To play Spirit Twister Bingo you first need to purchase your tickets. Tickets cost 5p each but you need to purchase 10 so a round costs 50p. This ensures that all players have the same number of tickets per game so everyone has the same chances of winning. This is very similar to Best Odds Bingo that's also available at Mecca. One interesting feature about Spirit Twister Bingo is that you can opt to watch a game without purchasing a ticket. We don't think that this is a feature on other Virtue Fusion bingo games but it does mean you can see how the game works before buying a ticket.
Spirit Twister Multipliers
All Spirit Twister Bingo games are 5 Line 75 Ball ones which means there are prizes for 1L, 2L, 3L, 4L and FH. However before eyes down there's an important part of the game that needs to occur. A random spirit animal is assigned to the game! The role of the animal is to act as a multiplier. This could be a graceful bear, powerful wolf, clever fox, beautiful rabbit, or a majestic stag. For the most part it'll be the rabbit who has a x1 multiplier! The spirit animal multiplier (x1 to x5) increases the value of the full house prize only. After this it's simply eyes down and the bingo balls are drawn until there's a full house winner. During the game you'll kept informed about how many of your tickets are 1TG, 2TG, 3TG and 4TG which is useful.
Progressive Jackpot
To complement the base game, there's also a progressive jackpot. This is won if house is called in 40 calls or less. Like many progressives on this platform it is a community jackpot with 50% of the pot shared by the roomies playing the game with the other 50% going to the lucky full house winner. Spirit Twister Bingo does have a free ticket element but this seems to be for free tickets awarded by the bingo site you're playing at. As far as we can see there's no information on the 'how to play' sections which suggest you can win free tickets actually playing the game.
Our Verdict
We've played Spirit Twister a few times now and been impressed with the game. Firstly it's nice to have a new game that's not trying to complete in 30 seconds or less! This feels like a proper bingo game. The even stevens element and limited player numbers do mean you have a good chance of winning too. OK the prizes aren't huge (£1 to £2) but if the multiplier is playing ball then happy days for the full house winner. Unfortunately the green rabbit x1 does pop up quite a lot although the best multiplier we saw was x3. Overall this is a good addition to the 75 ball stable.
