Bingo Room Changes At Gala Bingo

Bingo operators love to add new variants of the popular numbers game to their rosters. This gives players plenty of choice based on the number of balls in play (30, 36, 40, 50, 52, 60, 75, 80 or 90) as well as themes. These themes can be anything from a popular slot such as Fluffy Favourites through to TV Shows such as Coronation Street and Deal or No Deal. The Entain Group which comprises Gala, Foxy, Ladbrokes and Coral offer their players a good mix of games with varying ball numbers and themes, but we've noticed a change has occurred. Two rooms have got a bigger billing whilst another has gone!
TV Show Bingo Rooms
The first change we've noticed is that Emmerdale Bingo and The Chase Bingo have come out of hiding. These two games were originally exclusive on Gala Bingo but when Gala switched from Virtue Fusion to Entain's platform only Coronation Street Bingo appeared on the list of active bingo rooms on Gala and across it's sister sites of Foxy, Coral and Ladbrokes. The Chase Bingo and Emmerdale Bingo remained active rooms but could only be found under the TV Show Bingo Rooms. The two themes would then swap around during the day as part of the regular schedule. We're guessing this wasn't great for fans of either room or for Entain either as both are now flagged up on the rooms list and games are taking place concurrently.
Fluffy Favourites Bingo
In July 2023, Entain launched their own Fluffy Favourites Bingo room. Virtue Fusion sites have their own 90 ball themed game featuring images from the popular slot so to differentiate Entain opted for a 36 ball version. The game also featured multi-stakes (one game but you could choose to wager different amounts) plus a Toy Grabber Bonus for the Full House Winner. However a quick scan of the roster at Gala and Foxy and there's no sign of this game. It looks as though it's been quietly dropped much in the same way as Cash Drops and Friends Bingo. To be honest we're quite surprised by this as Fluffy Favourites Bingo is seemingly quite popular on Virtue Fusion. We can only guess that the 36 ball single ticket version just didn't grab players attention. Although there could be another reason behind it's demise.
Fishin' Frenzy Bingo
Fishing slots are surprisingly very popular in slots circles and now Entain are hoping to hook bingo players into the Fishin' Frenzy net. Two bingo rooms, 25p and £1 Fishin' Frenzy Bingo are available to play at Foxy and Gala. The games are identical other than the cost to play. Fishin' Frenzy Bingo is a 50 ball game which you play on just a single ticket. The numbers are called and if they match the numbers on your fish then they're caught by the fisherman. Images and sounds from the Fishin' Frenzy slot jazz up proceedings but otherwise it's simply bingo with fish. The game can only take place with a minimum of 5 players and apparently you have a 1/5 chance of winning. We'll take a closer look at the new game in our next article. Overall though it's good to see Entain freshen up and mix up their roster but the jury is out as to whether Fishin' Frenzy Bingo is stronger bait to attract players than it's Fluffy predecessor.
