How To Play Fishin' Frenzy Bingo
If you're familiar with Fishin' Frenzy slots then you'll instantly feel at home in the Fishin' Frenzy Bingo room. It's designed in the same way with a turquoise lake background and familiar soundtrack. To play the game you first need to choose your wager. At launch Gala offer two rooms - 25p a play and £1 a play. The games run separately so it's not a multi-stake room as it's Fluffy Favourites Bingo predecessor. Your wager purchases you one ticket that comprises 10 numbered floating fish happily swimming in the ocean. As each player can only purchase one ticket this makes Fishin' Frenzy Bingo an Even Steven style game (i.e. everyone has the same chance of winning). According to Gala each player has a 1/5 chance of winning the full house. Once five players have purchased a ticket the game begins. Numbers are called and if the numbers match those on your fish then they're reeled in by the fisherman. The player who reels in all their fish first is the full house winner.
Go Fish
As the game can't start until there's a minimum of 5 players you might find yourself wondering what to do? The answer is "Go Fish". Entain have included a fishing game to while away the moments until enough players have paid their money. The fishing game involves trying to hook fish as they swim under your boat. It's quite good fun. During the actual game you are kept up to date with how your fellow fishermen are doing. Watching your last solitary fish swim around whilst you're stuck on 1TG just adds to the misery when out of the blue one of your competitor's nets the full house prize. Games are fairly quick but don't expect big prizes. The full house for the 25p game was just £1.13!
Our Verdict
We weren't quite sure what to expect with Fishin' Frenzy Bingo but it's not a bad game at all. The Even Stevens element and playing against just 4 other players does add an element of fairness but on the other hand 25p a ticket for the chance to win £1.13 might not appeal to big jackpot players. We did try a few rounds and managed to hook at least one win - which was nice - but we weren't fully hooked. Firstly the Fishin' Frenzy music is pretty annoying but the game isn't interesting without sound. Secondly it's all a bit samey. We'd like to see different fish and different fishing venues to jazz things up. Finally other than using images from the slot there's no relationship to the game. You can't win spins plus there's no bonus round. That all said it is a little bit different to your typical bingo game and for that it's worth checking out.
