Silverspin Affiliates Sell Off Their Bingo Brands

The Dragonfish/Broadway Gaming revolution continues with another network conceding it's sites and partnership. Following the demise of Tau Gaming and Maxi Affiliates relationship with Broadway which has seen the closure and/or transfer of numerous brands, it's now the time for Silverspin Affiliates to follow suit. As of today (5th July) the affiliate program for multiple sites is ending "due to the sale of the brands, and the subsequent decision by the buyer not to transfer the affiliate program". This effects a lot of different brands including Bubble Bonus Bingo, Dotty Bingo and Lucky Charm Bingo.

The full list of Silverspin Affiliates sites include Winzino, Fruity Vegas, Bingorella, Spinzilla, Giant Spins, Fortune Fiesta, Balmy Bingo, Hyper Slots, Secret Pyramids, Bingo Storm, Hippo Bingo, Nutty Bingo, Live Bingo, Bubble Bonus Bingo, Butterfly Bingo, Total Gold, Candy Shop Bingo, Woolly Bingo, Bumble Bingo, Aunt Bevs, Cobalt Kings, Duck Duck Bingo, Diva Bingo, Cupcake Bingo, Lucky Charm Bingo, Bingo Clubhouse and Sailor Bingo. Not all of these are on the Broadway/Dragonfish platform so this sale is slightly different to Maxi and Tau. Maxi kept back some brands (Chit Chat for example) and also kept brands on other platforms as did Tau. However both offloaded anything that was being powered by Dragonfish/Broadway. Silverspin have just parted with the entire kitchen sink so we wonder whether this is Broadway buying back brands (as they seem to be doing) or another player in the mix? Either way it doesn't make much odds because as ever affiliates are the ones to lose out.
Hi Ho Silver Linings
Whilst the closure of the Silverspin Affiliates is another blow for the bingo affiliate sector, this one doesn't effect us as much as the recent blows from bigger brands. It's been evident to many that affiliate revenue from pretty much all the above has been poor - plus the product itself hasn't exactly been picking up trees. Therefore pretty much all the above, including the wonderfully named Duck Duck Bingo, have been consigned to the lower echalons of the Loquax Bingo bonus charts. If you look around other portals then many have either dropped links altogether or also shunted the brands not just to the back burners, but hidden in a messy cupboard behind bags of flour originally purchased during lockdown because you were going to use the time to make bread and wanted to avoid any potential shortages. In short seeing these brands disappearing off our roster or indeed anyone's roster isn't going to be much of a loss.
They're After Me Lucky Charms
So what next for Lucky Charm Bingo and co? If you're a regular player at any of the sites mentioned then it should be business as usual - at least for now - but don't expect any major changes or improvements to the game experience. Most Broadway/Dragonfish brands that have already taken the same journey as Lucky Charm and co have continued to operate albeit without anything new happening to them in terms of rebranding or development. Some have been sold off to join a new group and therefore it wouldn't be a surprise to see a similar story unfold here. Again that shouldn't change anything for players. However all these sites can't remain viable long term and it wouldn't be a huge shock to see some eventually close their doors. Only time will tell if the bingo world can no longer accommodate duck, sheep, bee and sweet treat themed brands along with the likes of Mecca, Gala and Tombola.
