Rainbow Riches Bingo Out - ProgressPlay Bingo In?

Earlier in the year we reviewed the new Clover Rollover bingo room that had opened up across the Virtue Fusion platform. This 50 ball multistake game is inspired by the Irish themed slot of the same name and although we were happy to see the arrival of the new game we were less impressed by the play. However what we hadn't realised that the arrival of the Clover Rollover bingo room has resulted in the demise of another Irish themed slot game. Sadly it looks like Rainbow Riches Bingo has left the building.
Goodbye Rainbow Riches Bingo
We've visited Sun Bingo, Mecca Bingo, Buzz Bingo, Paddy Power Bingo and others and there's no sign of the Rainbow Riches room anywhere. It's gone and Clover Rollover now occupies the space. As far as we can find there's also no references to it's demise on any bingo portals or other platforms. It's just vanished like an old oak table. Of course this kind of thing isn't unusual as operators and platforms phase out games all the time. For example Foxy et al quietly dropped Friends, Cash Out and Fluffy Favourites from their roster whilst Jackpotjoy and co sidelined Crystal Maze Bingo from their line-up. Virtue Fusion sites have also kicked the likes of Grease and The Voice into touch with little fanfare. Closures tend to occur when game licences end or if a room just isn't viable however Rainbow Riches Bingo has been part of the online world for years so it is a surprise to see it go.
Could It Relaunch On Another Platform?
It's not an unfeasible for a new Rainbow Riches inspired bingo room to emerge elsewhere. There is for example Rainbow Riches Casino and in theory it'd make a lot of sense to see a bingo room inspired by the popular slot appear there - and therefore also across other Jackpotjoy sister sites. Entain (Foxy, Gala, Coral etc) is another potential destination as their approach has been to emulate Virtue Fusion with the likes of Deal Or No Deal and Fluffy Favourites themed games. We don't think Broadway will be adding a themed game to their rosters anytime soon and whilst Pragmatic Play might be a potential home we think they'd recreate a similar game without the need for licencing - in the same vein as the Deal Or No Deal inspired Diamond Dazzle.
ProgressPlay Bingo?
In truth we're not expecting a Rainbow Riches bingo room to materialise or relaunch anytime soon. However there could be something new on the horizon bingo wise this September. According to European Gaming, Arthouros Ioannidis who is Head of Account Managers at the platform has revealed that there will be the "launch of a new bingo product in September". Could they be launching with a Rainbow Riches bingo room as well as 90 and 75 ball classic games? ProgressPlay isn't a platform we feature here on Loquax Bingo so it'll be interesting to see what bingo product they add and whether we think that improves their brands. Information about this new product is currently limited to non-existent but we'll try and update you on any news as soon as we know more.
